Frequently Asked Questions

  • How do I book?
You can book your session by filling out the session form on my website. Once we have agreed upon a session date, you will receive a Booking and Client Form which you will be required to sign and return to me along with a 25% deposit to hold your session date which must be paid within 24 hours. If you have not returned your booking form to me and/or paid your deposit within 24 hours I reserve the right to pass on your session date to the next in line. The remainder of your session fee is due one day before your session.
  • How long before my images are done?
My current turn around time is up to 3 weeks but I try to have a sneak peek to you of your session within 72 hours so that the wait isn’t so hard!
  • How do I receive my images?
Once your gallery is complete you will receive a link to a password protected online gallery where you can view your images on your phone or computer. From this gallery you can download your images straight to your computer or share with your friends and family. I also transfer a second copy of your images via wetransfer.com.
  • What happens if it’s raining on my session day?
If it’s forecasted to rain the day before your session, I’ll be in contact with you about re-scheduling your shoot.
  • What time of the day should I book my session for?
I only offer sessions the hour before sunset - also known as Golden Hour. This is the time when shadows are soft and creamy on your skin, and we can get a beautiful sunlit golden image. If a late afternoon session doesn’t work for you, then I would suggest a sunrise session for the hour after sunrise.
  • What should we wear to our session?
I always suggest choosing neutral colours for your session such as browns, creams, greys and whites. The more people there are involved in your session, the more important it becomes to ensure that there are no bold patterns, bright colours, logos or shirts with writing as this can just cause your images to feel busy and less cohesive. Colour can be a beautiful addition to your images though, but I suggest sticking to light or muted colours such as khaki, peach, mustard, orange, red and blue. If possible, make the most of your images by layering with hats, boots, jackets and simple jewellery. Incorporate natural materials and choose items with texture or ruffles to give the images depth and interest. If you still feel stuck! Don’t worry! I offer my help in co-ordinating outfits and offering advice to all of my clients, so between us we will work it out!
  • What locations do you offer?
I have spent the last few years scouting locations all around the Sunshine Coast and can offer locations varying from mountains, beach, riverside, pine trees and lush hinterland. I go into detail in my location guide that I provide upon booking, but I am always happy to hear if you have a special location in mind!
